Antonio Conte has appeared to take a dig at Arsene Wenger by insisting he has respect for all London clubs.

Wenger declared that ‘there is only one club in London’ on Thursday when asked a question about whether Alexis Sanchez will stay at Arsenal.

Sanchez is a target for Chelsea and increased the speculation earlier in the week by saying he is happy in the capital, but wants to play in a ‘winning team’.

Asked about Wenger’s comment that Arsenal are London’s only club, Conte replied: “I didn't know (he said) this, but I think in London there are many teams.

“Tomorrow, for example, it's a derby against Crystal Palace. In London there are many teams. Then, I repeat, I like to listen to the other coaches but, for me, I prefer always to have great respect for all the players from all the clubs.”
