Yahoo News 'The Alienist' Debuts Chilling New Two-Minute Trailer -- Watch! (Exclusive)
The Alienist is about to haunt you in your dreams.
ET exclusively debuts a chilling new trailer from the upcoming TNT psychological thriller, based on the novel by Caleb Carr, and the story begins after a series of gruesome murders of young male prostitutes captures the attention of New York City.
New police commissioner Teddy Roosevelt (Brian Geraghty) recruits criminal psychologist Dr. Laszlo Kreizler (Daniel Bruhl), aka the alienist, and illustrator John Moore (Luke Evans) to secretly investigate the murders alongside Sara Howard (Dakota Fanning), who has goals of becoming the city's first female detective.
In the two minutes of new footage, which leans into the "madness" of the story, Laszlo, John and Sara find themselves at the center of a maelstrom as their controversial involvement in the investigation of the violent crimes comes to light. Watch the exclusive trailer below.
The Alienist premieres Monday, Jan. 22 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on TNT.
