I'm a Celeb Dec says pineapple pizza is for "perverts"

I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!presenter Declan Donnelly cracked up viewers tonight (December 2) after saying that only "perverts" put pineapple on pizza.

After Fleur East completed her Gore Seasons Pizza Bushtucker Trial – in which she had to lie on a massive pizza base and whack pinatas whilst various foul toppings were dropped on top of her – Dec got out his own pizza and was disgusted to see that it was covered in pineapples.

He showed the pizza to co-host Holly Willoughby, who said: "Who puts pineapple on pizza?"

"Perverts, Holly," replied Donnelly. "And Australians. Same thing."

Realising that his retort could land him in a bit of trouble, Donnelly pulled a pained expression and then legged it off camera.

One viewer tweeted: "That's the best thing I've ever seen on #imacelebrity... who has pineapple on pizza? PERVERTS that's who."

While another wrote: "Jeeezeeee Dec sayin how it is. Pineapple pizza is for pervert. The fact he called Aussies perverts as well."

Despite some pineapple-lovers being mildly offended by Dec's comments, it didn't stop him from repeating the statement on his Twitter account.

During her Bushtucker Trial, Fleur East was covered in all manner of grimness, from rotten fish guts and offal to mouldy cheese, but she was able to gain all 10 stars for her camp.

I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! continues tomorrow night (December 3) at 9pm on ITV.
