Harry Redknapp has been crowned the winner of I‘m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here 2018.

The football manager beat fellow finalists Torchwood actor John Barrowman and Emily Atack, with The Inbetweeners star coming in second place.

"I'm amazed I survived three weeks," Redknapp said, adding that he was nervous before entering the jungle because he thought he would have nothing in common with the other celebrities.

"They've pulled me up hills, they've dragged me through the water," he laughed.

Runner-up Atack said she was "honoured" to have been in the final alongside Redknapp, calling him a "worthy winner" and asking: "Can I be the jungle princess?"

The final saw all three take part in one last Bushtucker trial. Presenter Holly Willoughby – who had replaced Ant McPartlin – joked that the trio were given a final challenge by the producers because they had “over ordered cockroaches”.

Atack went first and was made to wear a helmet filled with critters such as cockroaches and spiders. During the challenge, the creepy crawlies made a beeline for Willoughby, with the This Morning presenter hiding behind Dec Donnelly at one point.

Redknapp's trial saw him laying down in an underground chamber while rats ran all over him, with the 71-year-old crying out: "I can't stand it, I'm scared of rats."

Following his challenge, Barrowman was the first to leave, saying that he felt "a bit of relief and a bit of excitement".

"I can't believe how many people voted for me," he said. "As soon as I met Emily I knew that we would be lifelong friends. And we will."

Questioned about her time on the show by Willoughby and Donnelly, Atack said: "I've learned I can survive in the jungle so I feel like I can do anything. This place has given me so much self-acceptance... I've just learned to accept who I am."

Redknapp was a firm favourite to win the series from the start, with the bookies putting him ahead of the other contestants to win,
