Holly Willoughby got a jungle send-off to remember for her final appearance on I’m a Celebrity, but maybe it wasn't a final farewell after all?

ITV has seen record-breaking ratings successes with Holly subbing in for Ant McPartlin alongside Dec Donnelly in the jungle this year, with viewers loving the chemistry between Holly and Dec.

Her time on the show came to an end during Wednesday's (December 12) I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! Coming Out special, which looked back on the celebrities' time after they left the jungle.

The hour concluded with Dec surprising Holly with a special present to celebrate her time on the show – a Jungle campmate T-shirt with her name on the back "for next year". That cheeky Dec!

"The biggest thanks from me, goes to you, Holly Willoughby," Dec seriously told her.

After Dec's cheeky gift, some fans are now convinced it was a huge hint that Holly will return to I'm a Celebrity in 2019, either as a contestant or a co-host with Ant and Dec:

Previously, Holly indicated that she was only planning to present I’m a Celebrity for one year because she fully wanted to hand back Ant's job to him.

"I'm just looking after it until he gets back. It's lovely that he trusted me with it," she said earlier this year. "It's totally unexpected to do this. You didn't really want to have to be asked to do the show, it's a weird one."

Keeping all that in mind, she never ruled out returning as a campmate! Holly is definitely headed back to the UK to her other jobs on This Morning and Dancing on Ice - but only after a well-deserved break for the holiday season.

Viewers will see her reunite with regular on-screen partner Phillip Schofield early next year.

I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! Coming Out aired on Wednesday on ITV.
