Commuters have fallen in love with the dulcet tones of an announcer with a “Barry White voice” on the Docklands Light Railway (DLR).

The mystery conductor has been entertaining passengers using the network with his “words of wisdom and soothing jazz voice”.

“If Thursday was a woman, I don’t think I’d marry her. I’d marry a Friday, everybody loves Friday, who doesn’t?” he says in one clip circulating on social media.

“Even Iron Man named his Artificial Intelligence Friday, Google it, I’m being serious right now.”

In another clip he says: “The stop is soon approaching, so grab yourself something tasty to eat.

“It’s chilly out there tonight so be sure to grab yourself a smooth, delicious hot chocolate.”

He then signs off: “Oooohhhh yeeeaaah.”

Commuters have praised his announcements on social media, Lawrence Martin wrote: “You guys need more guys like the announcer on the DLR to Stratford Int. His tones are very sultry. When is his album dropping?”

“The seductive announcer on the DLR is at it again... I am living!” wrote another.

Kelly Griffiths commented: “Yes DLR driver! You certainly brightened my dreary day with them silky smooth tones. Oooohhhh yeeeaaah!”

User @Mattsnotyours said hearing the conductor’s “smooth and soft” voice is “bloody lovely in the mornings”.
