Here's when Saturday Night Takeaway returns to TV

From Digital Spy

In case you missed the news, Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway won't be on this weekend, as the show is taking a short break.

Although ITV's popular variety show usually airs on Saturdays at 7pm, the decision was made earlier this week to pull the March 24 instalment from TV schedules as Ant McPartlin entered rehab.

The break isn't for long, though. Saturday Night Takeaway is returning to screens next weekend on March 31 for the penultimate episode of the series. Guests include Paloma Faith (for the End of the Show Show) and Stephen Merchant (as the Star Announcer), while The Script will swing by for the 'Singalong Live!' segment.

Stephen Mulhern is back for 'In for a Penny, In for a Grand', and we can expect to see Scarlett Moffatt as well.

The finale follows on April 7, broadcasting from Universal Orlando Resort in Florida.

The big change is that Ant will not be presenting. Instead, Declan Donnelly will be taking to the stage for these final two episodes alone.

In a statement released on Wednesday (March 21), Dec said: "Whilst I never thought I'd be in this position, after much discussion and careful consideration we've decided that the remaining two shows of this series of Saturday Night Takeaway will go ahead.

"We made a promise to take hundreds of deserving winners to Florida to watch the series finale, and we will honour that.

"Everyone at ITV and the Takeaway team feels we owe it to the audience to complete the series."

The Voice UK will take over Saturday Night Takeaway's 7pm timeslot for this weekend on March 24. A repeat of Through the Keyhole follows at 9pm.
