Katie Price has sparked a furious backlash over wearing and “promoting” what appeared to be fur while attending Cheltenham Festival.

The model wore a pink fur hat and scarf set as she turned up to the event on Thursday, later posting a photo on her Instagram feed praising the designer.

Alongside a full-length shot of her at the races, Price wrote: “Cheltenham today. Loves it @fursbynatalia always love all her furs and also my sunglasses @sassy_couture_uk.”

Followers of the 39-year-old, however, were not as enamoured with the attire and quickly made their feelings known underneath the snap, calling her post “appalling”.

One incensed fan slammed: “That’s disgusting @officialkatieprice quality of faux fur these days there’s no need to wear real fur anymore [sic].”

While another wrote: “Oh @officialkatieprice I thought you were an animal lover. Please google fur farms to at least see what goes into the process.”

“Why don’t you use your position to speak out against animal abuse instead of partaking in it? You are advertising a company who’s [sic] crimes against animals are actually illegal in the UK (Fur Farming Act). If you saw how those animals died, you would not wear that fur,” commented somebody else.
