Michelle Keegan is back on the front line in a first teaser for Our Girl series three.

The former Coronation Street and Ordinary Lies star is reprising her role as army corporal Georgie Lane in the BBC One drama – and the short teaser shows her taking a deep breath as her 2 Section colleagues work behind her.

The tagline? "It takes a strong head to follow your heart."

Our Girl's third run will feature 12 episodes, directed by Happy Valley's Tim Fywell and Ordinary Lies' Jon Wright.

We know that there will be three missions in the new series, and the first will see Georgie and her unit sent to Nepal following a devastating earthquake, with hazardous and unpredictable consequences.

"I'm so happy to be shooting the new series of Our Girl out in Nepal and so very excited to bring more stories of Georgie Lane to life," Michelle said when the new series was first announced.

"It's an amazing experience to be working on such important stories with such an incredible group of people."

Our Girl series three is coming soon to BBC One.
