One of the worst things about Christmas is that all the big American shows go on midseason hiatuses and leave us with huge cliffhangers that we spend hours at night thinking about when we should be sleeping.

The Walking Dead, which is known for its cliffhangers (we still haven't forgotten the agonising wait to find out who Negan killed), has left us with another humdinger of one for its season eight midseason finale.

Luckily, FOX haven't kept us in the dark for too long about when the show will return and we can find out... well, we're not going to spoil the most recent episode here, don't you worry.

The United States will see the show return on Sunday, February 25, while the UK and other international markets will get it on Monday, February 26. Yep, they're sticking with the within-24-hours airings, and we are more than happy with that.

If you HAVE seen the latest episode (and therefore, that huge plot twist) then you can read how one of the show's stars reacted to it, and another star confirming whether that twist means they're departing the show or staying around.

You can also read our take on the cliffhanger, and whether we thought it was justified, or felt a little cheap.

If you've not seen the episode yet, then The Walking Dead continues for you tonight (December 11) at 9pm on FOX.
