'It wasn't sarcasm': Paloma Faith explains hilarious fake laugh at Dua Lipa's Brit Awards win

Paloma Faith has hit back at claims she was bitter at losing out to Dua Lipa at the Brit Awards after she was captured on camera appearing to fake laugh.

Faith was seen throwing her head back in laughter after being told by someone on her table that she was on camera during Wednesday's ceremony

The 36-year-old singer was seen looking glum before the man to her left mouthed “camera”, after which Faith threw back her head and burst out laughing.

The clip went viral with viewers deeming it the best fake loser reaction to missing out on Best British Female.

But Faith insisted she wasn’t being sarcastic and that she already knew on the night that she hadn’t won.

Speaking on the Capital FM Breakfast Show, she told Roman Kemp: “The guy that’s sat next to me has gone ‘the camera is on you right now’ so I was just having fun with the people next to me.

.@Palomafaith would just like to clarify she was NOT sarcastically laughing at @DUALIPA. ❌
She was sarcastically laughing because a bloke told her to. ]]>😂
