A five-year-old girl has voiced the questions that millions around the world have wondered for months.

"How come Hillary did not get to be the president and why is she the loser and what are they even supposed to be winning?"

Filmed in the back of the car by her mother, Taylor, from Texas, starts off by asking where Barack Obama went.

"Why do we have the president we have now at the same spot he was and why did he leave it anyway?" the inquisitive girl says in the first of three videos shared on Instagram by her mother, tabgeezy.

After the mother explains the president can only serve two terms, it was then Taylor wondered about Hillary's defeat and what the prize was - a pertinent question given Donald Trump's repeated boasts about "winning".

"They get to be the president of the United States," Taylor is told, before her mother explains how people vote.

But Taylor knows all about voting - she "voted for pizza at school".

"So Barack Obama voted for the president we have now?," Taylor asks, before coming to the conclusion that more people voted for Mr Trump.

Her mother starts to explain that more people actually voted for Mrs Clinton, before stopping short of the complexities of the electoral college by simply saying: "It's a long story".

Having determined the reason for Mr Trump's presidential success, she asks about where he lives. "I don't want him living in Texas," she exclaims.

Despite being assured he doesn't live in Texas, Taylor is far from mollified.

"I don't want him to be our president anyway. I want Hillary and Barack Obama," she says.

"Oh well," responds the mother with a sigh.

The videos struck a chord online. Each clip has been viewed around 50,000 times and attracted thousands of comments.

"She only 5 yet smarter than half of America," one commented.
