EastEnders and Coronation Street fans will have to wait a little longer to get their soapy fix as both shows have been taken off air tonight.

As we all know, EastEnders usually airs at 8pm on a Friday night, but tonight's slot is being replaced by Sport Relief 2018 on BBC One. That's right, it's all for a good cause!

However, it's a slightly different story with Corrie – which usually airs twice on a Friday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm.

Both of tonight's Corrie slots are being occupied by live football coverage of the Holland vs England football friendly, meaning that the Weatherfield drama won't be continuing until Monday.

Nevertheless, we shouldn't be too annoyed about the soap scheduling chaos as we did get more than our fair share of soap action this week.

Tonight's missing EastEnders was replaced with a double whammy of Slater action last night (March 22) as Kat Moon made her explosive return to the Square.

Meanwhile, we also had a bonus episode of Corrie last night, with an extra episode scheduled for next Thursday again as Phelan's comeuppance week continues.

EastEnders will continue on Monday, March 26 at 8pm on BBC One, while Corrie also continues on Monday at 7.30pm on ITV.
