Yahoo News Here's why you never see Love Islanders eating
If you've been wondering why we don't see much footage of the Love Island contestants eating on the show this year, you're not alone.
While previous years of the ITV2 show have shown islanders sitting down and actually eating meals, footage of food consumption has been noticeably sparse this year (though there's been plenty of drinking, may we add).
And just in case you were wondering about the lack of meals, it turns out there's an understandable and obvious explanation why - there's just no time.
ITV have confirmed that given the fact there's only a one-hour slot each evening for the show, editing requirements mean that the meals end on the cutting room floor.
"Unfortunately we can't show everything as we're confined to a one hour show each night!" a spokesperson told OK!.
Well, we guess the drama of Rosie Williams and Adam Collard's latest row is a tad more exciting than watching them stuff their faces.
Though, to be fair, we did see Alex George prepare and eat breakfast with potential new partner Ellie Brown last night (June 19) - though the conversation in that scene was the actual important bit (we're sure the scrambled eggs were great too though, Alex).
As well as a dearth in meal footage, Love Island fans have also been wondering where the hell contestant Samira Mighty is, especially in last night's episode as she seemed to get very little screen time.
Instead, a lot of time has been devoted to the goings-on of Adam and Rosie, who came to blows* on last night's episode after he pied her off for Zara McDermott.
*we say blows, he basically smirked as she broke down in tears. Classy.
Love Island continues this evening (June 20) on ITV2 at 9pm.
