The DC Universe's Titans has one specific element that fans are a little confused about: why is Beast Boy not fully green?!

Well luckily for those questioners, actor Ryan Potter has offered some clarification on the subject whilst speaking to Pop Culturalist (via Heroic Hollywood) at New York Comic Con.

The 23-year-old explained: "There is a very good reason why he is not green. He is not Beast Boy yet to be 100% honest. He is still Garfield Logan and Garfield Logan knows how to turn into a tiger and he's like, 'Cool, I'm happy with that.'

"He lives with Doom Patrol and that's where he is at. He is not changed, he is not Beast Boy, he is first in a number of things because he lives with a very interesting family. He's had a very interesting stepfather and an interesting childhood so he is not incompetent but he is not who we know him to be… he'll get there."

Patience is a virtue, people. The greenness will come, just ask Bruce Banner.

Meanwhile, the new coming-of-age superhero saga has been met with completely mixed emotions upon its release, as many media outlets found its dark tone a little overwhelming.

This won't stop that sophomore season being developed though.

Titans launched on streaming service DC Universe today (October 12), with Netflix airing the show in the UK.
