Appeal after 12-year-old girl 'assaulted by unknown man' in Redhill

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 12-year-old girl was reportedly assaulted in Redhill by an unknown man. Surrey Police said the incident took place at around 7.30am on Tuesday (September 17) in Brighton Road, near the Ford garage.

The man is described as a southeast Asian man, of average build and around 5ft 9ins. He had a dark beard and was wearing a black beanie hate, a light brown jacket and black round glasses.

The force said its officers were "working hard to thoroughly investigate the circumstances" of this incident. Anyone who witnessed it, or has any relevant information, is urged to contact police using the reference PR/45240106500.
