Appeal for help to find missing Johnstone teenager

Police are appealing for help to find a boy who has gone missing from Johnstone.

Officers say they are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of Ross McCormick who has not been seen since 9.30am on Tuesday. The 15-year-old was last seen in the Beith Road area of the town.

He is described as being white Scottish, around 5ft 4in tall, of slim build and with short black hair. When last seen, he was wearing a black hoodie, black joggers and black trainers. He is known to frequent the Johnstone, Paisley, and Prestwick, South Ayrshire, areas.

Sergeant Paul Crawford said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Ross’ welfare and are keen to trace him as soon as possible.

“Please check any private CCTV or dashcam footage which may help us in tracing him. Ross, if you see this, please get in touch with us or your friends and family to let them know you are safe.”
