Missing Newcastle teenager last seen on Wednesday afternoon has been found

A Newcastle teenager who had been missing since Wednesday afternoon has now been found.

Northumbria Police launched a public appeal as concern grew for the missing 14-year-old, who had been last seen in the Benfield Road area at about 3pm on Wednesday.

She was described as a white female, 5ft 6ins, with long brown hair and was last seen wearing a black Nike jacket and black leggings.

Officers asked anyone who knew where she might be to contact Northumbria Police by sending a direct message on social media or using the live chat function on the force’s website. For those who are unable to contact the force via those ways, call 101.

Today, the force confirmed that the teenager has now been found safe and well. They also thanked the public for their support in the search.
