Appeal after thief steals gold from Lichfield antiques venue
A CCTV appeal has been launched after a man stole gold from a Staffordshire antiques venue. The raider entered Lichfield Antiques Centre in Minster Pool Way in the city centre on Tuesday, December 3.
The thief ‘helped himself’ to gold jewellery from the centre’s cabinets. Among the haul taken were a gold wedding band, gold earrings, a gold ring, a sapphire ring and a further gold ring.
Staffordshire Police has released an image of a man officers would like to speak to in connection with the theft. He is white, clean-shaven, with short dark brown/black hair.

And is pictured wearing a black jacket and grey scarf while carrying a Bodycare-branded bag. In issuing the appeal, a spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: “Do you recognise this man?
“We want to talk to him after more than £900-worth of jewellery was taken from Lichfield Antiques Centre on Minster Pool Walk on Tuesday 3 December. An 18ct yellow gold wedding band was taken, along with a pair of 18ct white gold earrings, a 9ct gold ring, a sapphire ring and an 18ct gold ring."
