In case you did not know – in which case, HOW? – it is World Emoji Day today (July 17).
In light of this very important event, Apple has unveiled a raft of new emoji that you will be able to use to express your feelings about any given situation, all set to be released later this year.
These include food such as coconuts and sandwiches, as well as the overdue arrival of more diverse characters such as women with a headscarf.
Oh, and there is a head exploding into a nuclear bomb – or is that Donald Trump's head? – as well as a vomiting emoji, a T-rex and a zebra. Because why the hell not?
If you need a genie, Apple has you sorted, and just to get you prepped for when the dead rise, they have a zombie emoji for you too. How generous of you, Apple.
Of course, we already had an idea of what to expect beforehand, but this is the first look at their iOS incarnations.
There are plenty of events going down for World Emoji Day, with New York City's Empire State Building planned to be lit up yellow. On top of that, the Royal Opera House in London will have some famous operas and ballets in emoji form online.
Apple is also getting in on the action further by highlighting emoji-specific apps on its App Store, as well as replacing some movie titles with emoji on iTunes Movies.
Yep, it's safe to say emoji have truly taken over our lives – after all, there is that whole Emoji Movie happening and whatnot.
Where will it end? 😱
