'We Appreciate You': Sheriff Thanks Nurses at Orlando Testing Site

Sheriff John Mina of Florida’s Orange County thanked nurses and first responders on March 27 during a visit to the COVID-19 testing site in Orlando.

This video shows Mina speaking to the group inside a tent at the Orange County Convention Center, thanking them for their work.

“We really appreciate you, our first responders really appreciate you, and thank you from the bottom of my heart,” Mina tells them. “You guys have a tough job…and we’re proud to help all of you out here,” he adds.

Mina also tweeted the video, writing: “A big thank you to our nurses on the front lines!”

According to local reports, the site is limited to 250 tests a day and is only accessible to people aged 65 or older who have certain symptoms of the virus. Credit: Orange County Sheriff’s Office via Storyful
