'The Apprentice' final: Will fired candidates' return ruin Kathryn and Harpreet's chances?

Watch: Fired Apprentice candidates return to 'help' finalists

The Apprentice final sees former fired candidates return tonight to 'help' Kathryn Louise Burn and Harpreet Kaur to success - but will they actually be in danger of ruining their chances?

Lord Sugar wants to see his two finalists launch their business plans in the last episode of the series, with Burn showing off her range of matching pyjamas for all the family including dogs, and Kaur presenting her plans for a dessert and cake empire.

As usual, they'll have to pick their teams from contestants who were let go earlier in the series, but giving up the Apprentice attitude doesn't come easily for tonight's returning candidates and tensions simmer over again, jeopardising the finalists' plans.

Kaur's team are unable to decide on a name for the business or whose acting skills are up to the job of showing just how delicious her cakes are, with Nick Showering and Navid Sole desperately trying to look enthusiastic while eating.

Meanwhile, former actor Amy Anzel throws herself into an acting role as part of Burn's family of matching pyjama-wearers a little too enthusiastically, falling out with Harry Mahmood over his lack of professional directing skills.

She also has a lot to say about Burn's company logo, complaining to the rest of the team that it "lacks warmth".

Mahmood agrees: "It reminds me of a horror movie. Exorcist."

Anzel adds: "It feels really cold and corporate," before taking to the streets to find out whether the general public share her concerns.

In her market research, one person tells her: "It is very charity shop," while another adds: "It looks like it’s come from the healthcare authority."

Both finalists face tough questions in their final presentations to industry professionals as another dessert parlour owner asks whether the market is already too saturated for Kaur to be successful and a fashion expert takes issue with Burn insisting that the jungle print trend is still going strong.

Lord Sugar will name the winning candidate in tonight's episode of The Apprentice at 9pm on BBC One.
