Stuart ‘The Brand’ Baggs, the memorable star of BBC’s The Apprentice, has been found dead at an address on the Isle Of Man.

The 27-year-old, famed for his memorable catchphrases on the show, was discovered by police, who have yet to determine a cause of death.

They said in a statement: “Following the earlier information provided by the police regarding the discovery of a body at an address in Douglas, police can now confirm that the man is Stuart Mark Alden Baggs, 27 years of age.

“Police again confirm that at this time there is nothing obvious to indicate the cause of his untimely death and enquiries will continue.

“The police request that consideration is given to the privacy of the family and friends at this difficult time.”

Tributes from fellow Apprentice stars have started to pour in.

Series nine contestant, Luisa Zissman, tweeted: "RIP one of my fav ever Apprentice contestants Stuart Baggs ‘The Brand’.

“He has joined the 27 club. What a tragedy.“

Apprentice boss Lord Sugar added: “Terrible news Stuart Baggs has died.

"My sincere condolences to his family and friends RIP one of the stand out characters of the apprentice (sic).”

Baggs appeared on series six of The Apprentice and became a fan favourite for his use of one liners like "I’m not a 1 trick pony, I’m not a 10 trick pony, I’m a whole field of ponies,” and “everything I touch turns to sold”.

He was the youngest-ever contestant to appear on the show at the time, aged just 21.

His series was eventually won by Stella English but the entrepreneur continued to run his telecommunications company.

He gave an interview to Isle of Man newspapers only last week about his latest scheme to bring 4G broadband to the Isle Of Man, where he had lived most of his life.

Talking to the paper about his career, he said: “I work, as my hair will tell you, at least 18 hours a day.

“I sleep for four hours religiously, I would not have it any other way, like Margaret Thatcher.”

He said that work gave him “a buzz”, adding: “As to the future we are already working on that.”

Baggs held a press conference for his new product this week, referencing its success on Twitter.

The managing director’s last tweet was sent yesterday, when he wrote: “Making headlines with our new 4G LTE home broadband network.”

Baggs was proud of his persona on The Apprentice, despite being mocked for some of one-liners.

He said: “You’d have to have a sense of humour failure not to laugh about it.

"But it’s part of my history. History is a rich tapestry and some parts of it are more colourful than others.”

He also appeared on cooking show, Come Dine With Me, at the end of last year.
