Police have released the first picture of a five-year-old girl found dead in Ealing as her mother was due in court charged with murder. Alijah Thomas was found by officers after they were called to Leyborne Avenue when concerns were raised by neighbours for her welfare. Officers and an ambulance crew tried to save the girl but she was pronounced dead at the scene at just before 1pm on Tuesday.
