Are Dougie Poynter and Ellie Goulding Back Together?

Dougie Poynter and Ellie Goulding have always liked to keep us guessing when it comes to their relationship, briefly splitting towards the end of last year before getting back together again.

The pair then officially broke up at the beginning of 2016 but both have constantly gushed about how much they still love one another, insisting that it was just their busy schedules keeping them apart.

And for once we’re wondering if this standard celeb response is actually, well, the truth? As it looks like the pair are still the best of friends at the very least, if not back together.

*Gasp*

Dougie sent his fans into a tizzy last night when he took to his Instagram account to discuss a brand now documentary that he’d just seen about the global issues humans are creating to the environment.

He wrote: “Tonight I saw the documentary @racingextinction which opened my eyes. This photo from the film is of thousands of shark fins that are drying out in the sun to be sold off and used as ‘medicine’ or Shark Fin soup.

"If you haven’t seen this yet, I recommend you do as this is only one of the many global issues the film touches on that we as humans are creating. Everything on land and in the oceans exists for a reason and as we continue to destroy our planet we are the ones who will suffer in the end.”

So far, so normal for the environmentalist.

However, the next line really caught his followers’ attention, with Dougie writing: “Thank you @elliegoulding for inviting me to this screening #racingextinction #savesharks”.

Ahh, did the two have a cinema date? Or did they just go along as friends? Either way, things are looking promising for #Dellie shippers.
