Are Ellie Goulding And Dougie Poynter Back Together?

Dougie Poynter has hinted that he’s back together with Ellie Goulding on Instagram.

Well, if they were even actually ‘on a break’ on the first place that is.

The McFly member sparked speculation that #Dellie were back on by posting a photo of himself cuddling this adorable cat, with the caption: “Ze cat whispererer.”

A photo of an attractive band member with a cute, fluffy animal is enough to make our hearts melt into puddles anyway but on closer inspection, it seems there’s something else that could get us all excited.

Many fans noticed that the cat on Dougie’s lap quite possibly belongs to Ellie (who is celebrating her birthday today - HAPPY BIRTHDAY).

The singer had posted her own photo with her cats hours before.

Commenting on Dougie’s photo, one follower wrote: “that’s Ellie’s cat omg they haven’t broke up or they’re back together.”

Another said: “They are Ellies cats aren’t they? This picture makes me very happy”, while another added: “Hope they are still together, they seemed happy and well suited.. Good luck to you both.”

Fingers crossed this means what we think it means.

Earlier this month, a source claimed the two were ‘on a break’ after hitting a ‘rough patch’.

The source told The Mirror: “They are taking a break. Their work commitments have meant they have been spending more and more time away from each other and it has made it difficult to maintain their relationship.

“They’ve decided to have a temporary break to see if they can work things out. They are both very sad that things have hit a rough patch, but are trying to see if a little distance can help them get through it.”
