Ariana Grande has reportedly given her engagement ring back to Pete Davidson - but she is not prepared to part ways with their pet pig, Piggy Smallz.

The pair reportedly called time on their whirlwind five-month romance after Davidson supposedly failed to support Grande after the death of her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller.

Grande had no problem handing Davidson back the specially made ring, according to TMZ, but she is adamant on retaining custody of the miniature pig the couple adopted together last month.

Standard Online has contacted representatives for the pair for comment.

It was reported that the pair split over a week ago with Grande allegedly going to great lengths to keep her break-up under wraps, including supporting Davidson at Saturday Night Live over the weekend.

A source told the Sun: “Ariana dumped Pete. They'd been rowing for two weeks about Pete's lack of support after Mac's death.

"Ariana has been devastated and Pete couldn't handle it. She realised she needs a grown-up who can support her and that's not him.

"They secretly split a week ago and she's already moved out of the apartment."

The pair got engaged in May, weeks after they started dating following Grande's split from Miller.

Grande is currently taking time out to “heal and mend” in the wake of Miller’s death last month and the Manchester Arena attack which saw a suicide bomber murder 22 people at her concert in May 2017.
