Ariana Grande ‘secretly split from Pete Davidson a week ago over lack of support after Mac Miller’s death’

Ariana Grande reportedly split from fiancé Pete Davidson over a week ago after he failed to support her after her ex Mac Miller’s death.

The No Tears Left to Cry singer supposedly went to great lengths to keep her break-up under wraps and even supported Davidson at Saturday Night Live over the weekend to keep the news private, according to reports.

A source told the Sun: “Ariana dumped Pete. They'd been rowing for two weeks about Pete's lack of support after Mac's death.

"Ariana has been devastated and Pete couldn't handle it. She realised she needs a grown-up who can support her and that's not him.

"They secretly split a week ago and she's already moved out of the apartment."

Standard Online has contacted representatives of the pair for comment.

The pair got engaged weeks after they started dating in May following Grande’s split from ex-boyfriend Miller.

But according to TMZ, they have called time because it “simply was not the right time for their relationship to take off”.

The US site added: “We’re told the two still have love for each other, but things are over romantically.”

The news comes days after it was reported Grande is taking time out to “heal and mend” in the wake of Miller’s death last month and the Manchester Arena attack which saw a suicide bomber murder 22 people at her concert in May 2017.

A representative told PEOPLE: “Given the events of the past couple of years, Ariana is going to take some much needed time to heal and mend.

“She will be staying close to home and using this period to spend time with her loved ones and work on new music without deadline.

“She thanks her fans for their understanding.”
