Arizona Governor Declares State of Emergency as Tunnel Fire Spreads to Over 20,000 Acres

Arizona Gov Doug Ducey declared a state of emergency on April 21 after the Tunnel Fire spread to over 20,000 acres, according to local officials.

Footage taken by local Carolyn Potter on April 19 shows smoke billowing over buildings north of Flagstaff.

The Coconino County Sheriff’s Office said at least 109 properties had been damaged by the fire, including 30 residences that were burned and 24 properties with outbuildings destroyed.
