Arizona Woman's Video Shows Fire Threatening Homes as Residents Forced to Evacuate

The worst of the Los Encinos fire, in Sonoita, Arizona, appeared to have passed early on June 22, as evacuation orders were lifted.

Fire Chief Joseph De Wolf told local press that some rainfall helped quell the blaze, bringing it 60 percent under control after it grew to some 1,300 acres on June 21.

Five homes were destroyed and some 150 threatened by the fire. One of the local residents forced to flee, Ann Alden, recorded this dramatic footage as she did so. Credit: Ann Alden via Storyful
