The National Weather Service confirmed that a tornado impacted Jessieville, Arkansas, on Monday, January 2, causing damage to a school in the region.
The Jessieville School District said school was canceled on January 3 and that elementary, middle, and high school students would follow an “alternative methods of instruction” plan for the remainder of the week.
Local news reported that no individual was severely injured and that 14 homes, three commercial buildings, and seven buildings at Jessieville School District were damaged by the tornado.
