Southport is gearing up to host the biggest Armed Forces Day celebration in the North West.

Taking place on and around Southport's Lord Street on Sunday, June 23, the free event promises to be bigger and better than ever before. There will be live music, a fairground, choirs, craft stalls, food stands, a paintball range, a parade and more for all ages to enjoy.

The Southport Armed Forces Day parade will start at 10.30am. Setting off from Chapel Street and finishing at Southport Town Hall, participants will take the salute with the Lord Lieutenant of Merseyside Mark Blundell and Mayor of Sefton, Cllr June Burns. All Regimental standard bearers and veterans or those still serving from all services are welcome to march in the parade.
