Armed police officers run towards Metrotown mall in Vancouver, Canada, over reports of a person with a gun, as onlookers stare at the scene. A police officer is heard shouting "Move!" before entering the building. The threat was unfounded but it is still unclear whether the reports of shots being fired and of a pipe bomb are related. There were no injuries. The police were already in the area for the closure of the SkyTrain station just before 3 pm, when they received a call from someone claiming that they saw a pipe bomb inside the mall. Explosive-detective dogs were deployed and the mall was evacuated.
