Arne Slot will soon add three players to strongest Liverpool matchday squad
Liverpool could welcome back some members of their first-team squad when they return after the international break. The Reds are not back in Premier League action until October 20, when they host Chelsea at Anfield.
Arne Slot's team have won six of their first seven Premier League fixtures this season and are top of the table in the midst of the October international break. Liverpool beat Crystal Palace in their previous fixture and are one point ahead of Manchester City in the table.
Liverpool's position in the league standings could change before kick-off against Chelsea next Sunday, with Man City and Arsenal both playing their respective fixtures before the Reds kick a ball. Slot could be handed a boost for the match against Chelsea, though, in the form of players returning from injury.

Harvey Elliott is one player who could be welcomed back to the matchday squad against Chelsea. Elliott missed all seven of Liverpool's fixtures in between the September and October international break with a fractured foot he suffered while on duty with the England Under-21s.
An initial timeframe of six weeks for a return to action was given for Elliott. Should the recovery have gone to plan then Liverpool will hope to have Elliott available in some capacity against Chelsea.
Federico Chiesa could also be reintroduced to Liverpool's matchday squad. The summer signing from Juventus missed the Reds' matches against Bologna and Crystal Palace before the two-week hiatus with a fitness issue but will be hoping to add to his three appearances for the club so far this season.
One player who will not be back for the clash against Chelsea is Alisson Becker. The Brazilian suffered a hamstring injury in the win over Palace at Selhurst Park and is expected to be sidelined for several weeks in recovery.
As a result, Caoimhin Kelleher is expected to return to the matchday squad and start between the posts for Liverpool. The Republic of Ireland international missed the win over Palace through illness.
