A woman has been arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary in connection with Prince George's school in London.
The individual was arrested this afternoon after someone allegedly gained access to Thomas's Battersea School yesterday (Tuesday, September 12).
Met Police said in a statement: "A 40-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary in Battersea, south London.
"The woman was arrested in the vicinity of the school and has been taken to a south London police station where she remains in custody."
The Met continued: "We are working with the school, which is attended by His Royal Highness Prince George, to review its security arrangements after the incident.
"Police are part of the protective security arrangements for the Prince and we will continue to work closely with the school, which is responsible for building security on its site."
Four-year-old Prince George started at the school last week, and was attending it yesterday, although it's understood that he was not present when the alleged offence took place (via The Telegraph). He is also understood to be back at the school today.
A Kensington Palace spokesperson has said: "We are aware of the incident but cannot comment any further."
