Arrest made after car flips on its side on main road
An arrest has been made after a car flipped on its side on a main road. Emergency services were called to a traffic incident on Aigburth Road on Saturday, November 16 just before 10pm.
Merseyside Police confirmed there was just a single vehicle involved, a Nissan Juke, which had overturned. A police cordon was in place on the main road as drivers headed towards Aigburth Vale. Merseyside Police, North West Ambulance Service and Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service were all at the scene.
Buses were also diverted as police dealt with the scene. In an update today, Monday, November 18, police confirmed a 39-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of drink driving. She has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
