Detective Inspector Ted Barr added: “Serious organised crime gangs are massive blight to our communities where drugs are closely linked to serious violence, involving firearm and knife crime. Criminals involved in organised crime have no thought for anyone other than themselves, and their criminal intent and greed.

“Stop searches, warrants, land searches and arrests take place all year round, and in many instances it is thanks to the public who tell us where there are issues in the community. If you see suspected drug dealing or criminality in your area let us know and we will take action.”
