Arrow star Stephen Amell took part in American Ninja Warrior for Red Nose Day and naturally crushed it.

He was one of seven celebrities to tackle the infamous course for charity, but was the only one to tackle the salmon ladder. Obviously, he took to it like a professional and speedily climbed the obstacle.

We'll stick to normal ladders, thanks.

For his skilful course run, Amell raised $35,000 for charity to help stop child poverty, with $5,000 banked for each obstacle passed.

Parenthood's Erika Christensen successfully managed five obstacles and American Pie's Mena Suvari made it to the Warped Wall, while Derek Hough, Olympian Ashton Eaton, baseball player Nick Swisher and comedian Nikki Glaser also took part.

Red Nose Day also saw the cast of This Is Us reveal some joke spoilers for season two, including a character returning from the dead.

Arrow's fifth season came to a bloody end earlier this week when Olly (Amell) was forced to form an uneasy alliance with the likes of Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) and his greatest foe Deathstroke (Manu Bennett).

It was all in order to face off against Prometheus, but a last-minute twist saw bombs go off all over the island of Lian Yu, potentially signalling the death of everyone on it.

Arrow returns to The CW in the US and Sky 1 in the UK later this year.
