Yahoo News Arrow bringing back Colton Haynes as a regular
The infamous red hood will once again be seen in Arrow's Star City.
Fresh off his recent guest appearance last month, Colton Haynes will be returning full-time as Roy Harper for the recently announced seventh season of the DC TV favourite.
Roy was brought back to Star City this season to testify against Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) as part of Ricardo Diaz's (Kirk Acevedo) attempt to out the mayor as the Green Arrow.
However, Roy showed his true colors when he refused to reveal the Green Arrow's identity, and subsequently left town with Olly's sister Thea, as a means to write out original cast member Willa Holland.
Roy himself apparently has more business to tend to in Star City because producers have made a big announcement about Colton Haynes's comeback today (Monday, April 9).
"We're very fortunate and excited to welcome back Colton to Arrow," producers said in a joint statement. "While we've always enjoyed Colton's returns to the show, we couldn't be more thrilled to have him return as a proper series regular - and we're very excited about all the creative opportunities Roy Harper's return affords us."
Colton Haynes added that he "could not be happier" to be rejoining the Arrow family. Since leaving Arrow a few years back, Haynes has been a regular on American Horror Story and also appeared in Scream Queens.

Before we get to Arrow season seven, fans can expect a spring finale that comes to an end with a "very different kind of cliffhanger", according to producer Marc Guggenheim.
Arrow season 6 continues on Thursdays at 9pm ET on The CW. Sky One airs the show in the UK.
