Yahoo News Arrow's Stephen Amell on not being in DC's movies: "Why would I wanna be?"
When it comes to his involvement in the DC universe, Arrow's Stephen Amell is more than happy just sticking to television.
At MCM Comic-Con in London on Saturday (May 25), the star of the CW show revealed that he's often asked why he isn't part of DC's movies, but he says it's TV that really gets the fans talking.
Speaking to Digital Spy and other press for the Arrow panel, Amell explained: "One question I get a lot is, 'Why isn't it (Arrow) part of the movies?' But I don't really draw a distinction between television and film.

"Aside from the Avengers, the water cooler topics are television, be it the Arrowverse or Game of Thrones. When people try to think of the defining film, they can't, but people can think of defining television shows like The Sopranos and Mad Men.
"So when people are like, 'Why don't you want to be involved in the movies?' I'm like, 'Why would I want to be?' We're doing just fine."
Amell added: "If you could pick between a two-hour movie or a three-movie or however long Avengers: Endgame was – five and a half hours or something – I would pick, personally, 22 or 23 hours of television."
Arrow airs on The CW in the US, and Sky One in the UK.
