Chile coach Juan Antonio Pizzi admits Alexis Sanchez is going through a "very special situation" in his club career, but insists the Arsenal star remains fully committed to the national side.

Sanchez is believed to have told the Gunners he wants to remain focused on helping Chile win the Confederations Cup in Russia after being offered a complex package worth about £300,000 per week at Arsenal.

The 28-year-old, who has one year left on his current deal at the Emirates Stadium, is also the subject of interest from the likes of Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City and Chelsea.

But when asked about Sanchez's current state of mind given his Arsenal future remains up in the air, Pizzi said ahead of Chile's semi-final clash against Portugal: "We think he is very happy.

"He is looking forward to playing a new final, he's giving his very best like everyone else. He is going through a very special situation.

"Everybody would like to be in a similar situation because the best clubs in the world would like to have him, although he is already playing for a great club.

"He's a very responsible person and he knows exactly what he has to do. We'll see what happens but right now, he is very comfortable and committed to the national team."

Sanchez's compatriot Marcelo Diaz added: "I've said this very often. Having Alexis on our team is wonderful. He's played so well for so many years. He has so many skills and qualities.

"I hope and think he will be able to keep developing and I think his personal situation will help him grow. It will be positive for Chile as we'll have a stronger player when we attack."
