Reiss Nelson was on target once again as the Arsenal youngster's superb free-kick led England Under-21s to a 2-0 win over Scotland to end their European Championship qualifying campaign in style.

Nelson, 18, broke into the Arsenal first team last season, and joined Bundesliga side Hoffenheim on loan for the 2018-19 season for a taste of regular elite football.

In England's previous game - a 7-0 win over Andorra on Thursday - Nelson came off the bench to score, and he bagged another on Tuesday night with a long-range set-piece to further highlight his development.

And Nelson helped take that run to 35 games as he bent a powerful set-piece in from 30 yards on the hour-mark.

Everton youngster Kieran Dowell made the game safe with another superb England goal, curling a powerful effort home in injury time.

Nelson has scored two Bundesliga goals for Hoffenheim this season, and is making waves along with compatriot Jadon Sancho, who is developing an impressive reputation as one of Europe's top assisters at Borussia Dortmund.
