Arsene Wenger isn’t the only man running out of time at Arsenal.

The French manager is under fire from supporters calling for him to quit the club at the end of the season after 21 years in charge.

He has just a matter of months left on his contract at the Emirates Stadium and he could soon be followed out of the door by a big chunk of his squad.

In what is a clear sign that Wenger is not building for the long-term, twelve Arsenal players will find themselves out of contract come the summer of 2018.

Those dozen Gunners would be free to talk to overseas clubs in January and would be free agents at the end of the campaign unless fresh deals are signed.

Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez, two of the club’s most valuable assets, headline the star-studded list of potential freebies.

The duo, along with their much-maligned boss Wenger, are understood to have been offered new contracts by the Gunners board.

But rumours are that the pair could demand as much as £300,000-a-week to remain in north London beyond the forthcoming transfer window.

There will be no shortage of suitors for the pair, with Sanchez’s fine form this season coming at the expense of a series of on-the-field tantrums.

Welshman Aaron Ramsey, England internationals Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Carl Jenkinson, Kieran Gibbs and Jack Wilshere are also running down their deals.

Santi Cazorla and Per Mertesacker’s contracts had been due to expire in January before Arsenal triggered extensions.

Forgotten men Yaya Sanogo and Joel Campbell, as well as goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny complete the list as Wenger looks set for a major overhaul of the squad.
