Arsenal cruised into the third round of the Carabao Cup with a comfortable 6-0 win over West Brom.

Simon Collings was at the Hawthorns to run the rule over Arsenal...

Aaron Ramsdale 7

Started a little shaky, but he settled after the first few minutes. Made a couple of good saves and looked solid. A nice debut.

Calum Chambers 6

A solid performance from the right-back. Struggled a bit early on, but got better as the game went on.

Rob Holding 7

Probably the best of Arsenal’s defenders, but not by much. Played a nice ball forward for the sixth goal.

Sead Kolasinac 6

Booked for a poor tackle in the first half. One of those who started shaky, but got better as the game went on. Rare outing at centre-back.

Nuno Tavares 6

A mixed bag from the youngster. He looked great at times, but sometimes his touch would let him down.

Mohamed Elneny 5

Had a hand in the second goal, as he slid in Pepe, but he was pretty wasteful in possession otherwise.

Granit Xhaka 7

Solid performance in the middle of the park, where he out shone Elneny. Taken off early ahead of Manchester City on Saturday.

Nicolas Pepe 8

A goal and an assist for the Ivorian, who missed a good chance to double his tally too.

Martin Odegaard 8

A fine performance from the attacking midfielder that was topped off by his brilliant assist for Saka’s goal in the second half.

Bukayo Saka 8

Much, much better from the teenager - who looked rusty against Chelsea. Got the goal his performance deserved and looked a threat all night.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang 9 | Star man

Just what the Arsenal captain needed. A hat-trick and minutes under his belt as he continues to recover from having Covid-19.

Substitutions

Ainsley Maitland-Niles (Odegaard 60’) 6

A decent little cameo off the bench. Nabbed himself an assist.

Alexandre Lacazette (Xhaka 66’) 7

Came off the bench and looked bright. Bagged himself a goal.

Gabriel Martinelli (Aubameyang 76’) N/A

Subs not used: Leno, Mari, Lokonga, Smith Rowe.
