Takehiro Tomiyasu has been handed his Arsenal debut for the match against Norwich on Saturday.

The Japan international has been thrown straight into the starting XI after arriving at Arsenal on deadline day from Bologna for £16million.

The other big news was Mikel Arteta’s decision to give Aaron Ramsdale, another summer signing, the nod over Bernd Leno in goal.

Thomas Partey, who is recovering from an ankle injury, has been named on the bench as Ainsley Maitland-Niles starts in midfield.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will lead the line, with Martin Odegaard the No10 and Bukayo Saka and Nicolas Pepe out wide.
