Arson investigation underway after car set alight on Birmingham street

An investigation has been launched after a car was deliberately set on fire on a residential street. West Midlands Police and fire crews were called to Ronald Road in Bordesley just before 10.15pm on Monday (Jan 6), where they found a vehicle ablaze.

Around eight firefighters put out the flames and left the scene at 11.20pm. No one was said to have been injured but the incident is being treated as arson.

Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them. West Midlands Police said: "We were called after a car caught fire in Ronald Road at around 10.20pm last night (6 January).
