A man in his 40s was arrested on Wednesday, July 27, on suspicion of starting several fires in the Ardeche department of southern France that morning, according to local news reports.

This footage from Lapin Blanc shows one such fire burning in Mirabel as Canadair firefighting aircraft drop water on the blaze.

French media reported that 250 firefighters had been mobilized against seven fires that ignited on Wednesday morning in Ardeche, and said evacuations had been ordered in several areas.
