Fire crews were dispatched to tackle a wheeliebin and pallet fire in Winsford yesterday, Saturday, which they suspect was 'started delibrately.'

One fire engine from Winsford fire station was sent to the blaze on Dee Way just before 5.30pm on Saturday, November 26.

Officers used a hose reel to extinguish the fire, which they described as 'next to a house.'

Police also attended the incident, as fire crews suspect it was started deliberately.

A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Firefighters were called to a wheelie bin and pallet on fire next to a property.

"They used a hose reel to extinguish the flames and believed it had been started deliberately so police attended."
