Yahoo News Ash and VJ try to team up against Mick
VJ and Ash lose it as Irene breaks the news about Mick wanting access to Luc. Irene explains that Mick is petitioning to do a paternity test in order to prove that he is Luc's father. VJ considers going for custody of Luc again himself, but Ash tries to convince him that the best way to beat Mick is if they team up and work together instead of against each other.
Later on, Ash explains that he thinks he knows a way to protect Luc from Mick for good. Kat returns home to find Ash on the phone with the family solicitor that she recommended and things are looking up.
Ash tells Kat the good news that he plans to adopt Luc, and VJ and Irene are already both on board. Expecting her to be thrilled, Ash is shocked and dismayed when Kat's immediate reaction is to object.
Meanwhile, Ben Astoni attempts to rein in his daughter Ziggy, who is suspected to have been involved in stealing a car, but she is unfazed as he scolds her. Ben's wife Maggie arrives home with their other daughter Coco, who has just been suspended for online bullying. With things so chaotic, Maggie suggests that a trip away to her mother's would help.
Later, the Astonis make a stop at Summer Bay for some quality family time on the beach, only to discover that their car won't start afterwards.
Elsewhere, Brody apologises to Alf and attends his next meeting.
