Extras and Ugly Betty star Ashley Jensen is "devastated" after the sudden death of her husband Terence Beesley.

According to The Sun, Terence was found unconscious at their home in Camerton, Somerset. An ambulance arrived within ten minutes of a 999 call, but tragically, Terence did not survive.

"It is with great sadness that I can confirm that Terence passed away at the end of November," a spokesperson for Terence said.

The cause of Terence's death is not certain, and an inquest will not be concluded until early 2018.

Ashley and Terence, who recently appeared in ITV's Victoria, had been married for ten years, and have an 8-year-old son together, named Francis. The pair first met in 1999.

A spokesperson for Ashley said: "Ashley is devastated and respectfully asks for privacy at this extremely sad and difficult time."

Terence has appeared in Casualty, War and Peace, The Bill, and Midsomer Murders, and briefly played Derek Branning in EastEnders in 1996.

Ashley is currently starring in new drama series Love, Lies and Records as Kate, a registrar who tries to juggle her personal life with the impact of the daily dramas of births, marriages and deaths from her job.

Last year, Ashley hinted that an Ugly Betty movie "very possibly could happen" during an interview with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on This Morning.

"It was such a joyful show and I think it's had such an effect on so many people. I still have people coming up to me saying they grew up watching that show or watched it with their mum," she revealed.

"There is hope that there may be a movie. It very possibly could happen."
